Proven Genetics with New Enthusiasm
A new partnership has been formed between Byron & Pauline Bayers of
Bayers Hereford Ranch of Twin Bridges, MT and Mark & Della Ehlke of
Townsend, MT. Bayers will lease their 100 head cow herd and five herd bulls to
the Ehlkes who will run the cattle on their Townsend ranch. Cattle will reside
in Twin Bridges April thru October and Townsend November thru March. For more

Mark Ehlke was born in Newburg, ND on his family purebred Angus ranch. His
family later moved to Helena, MT where he was associated with the family
commercial operation. Both Mark and his wife Della are members of the Montana
Stockgrowers Assn., Montana Hereford Assn. and American Hereford Assn.
Della was born in Wyoming but spent her school years in Missoula, MT. Both of
her grandparents were wheat and cattle growers in Eastern Montana. Much of
Della's life has been involved with horses — racing, barrel racing, training
and breeding.
Mark and Della have two daughters, Lacey Jo and Janea. Lacey has started with
Junior Horse Projects and now she and Janea want to start Hereford breeding
projects. The Ehlkes hope to enter their cattle in Test Centers, Association
Sales and compete in Hereford Shows. |
